Actually, it was whaling. They waited on the shore until whales went by (severe drop in the water) and harpooned them. It was really horrible, like ten were pulled in and gutted on the beach.

Anybody have the story behind this picture, I heard something about whales getting beach the other day, but this is ridiculous!
